Duxbury Cemetery Commission Meeting Minutes
February 22, 2006

Meeting called to order at 5:15 
Present:  Stephanie Koonz, Greg Trulson, Kim Greenwood

Secretary’s Report
The minutes for the Jan 25, 2006 meeting were reviewed and approved with changes

Treasure's report 
The treasurer’s report was read and approved.

In an effort to determine what portion of the Perpetual Care Account is principal and which is interest, Greg called Banknorth.  They only keep records for past seven years.  He and Stephanie then spent several hours going through the files in an attempt to solve this puzzle in the perpetual care account. While the statements went back quite a while, it was impossible to determine how much of the account is principal and how much is interest because the records do not go back all the way to the origination date of the account, which is 1983.  Because of this, they assumed a reasonable value for the principal based on the historic documents available.  

Town meeting
We will set up a display which Kim will create using photos from the past year or two.  Greg brought the sign up sheet for puncheon construction and we will put it, along with supporting documentation of the structure, on the display table to solicit volunteers. 

Crosset Hill Dedication Ceremony
At town meeting we will discuss with the Duxbury Historical Society about a tentative date for the dedication at CH.

Plaques for Phillips and Landon-Hayden
North Barre Granite will soon have two bids in hand which will make three total for us to choose from for the plaques. 

Next meeting
The next meeting will be held March 22, 2006 at 5:00 at the Town Offices.
