Duxbury Cemetery Commission Meeting Minutes December 20, 2007 Meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m.. Members Present: Stephanie Koonz, Greg Trulson, Kim Greenwood Secretary’s Report The Secretary’s report was read and approved. Treasurer’s Report The Treasurer’s report was read and approved. A donation of $21 was received for any expenses related to Crossett Hill Cemetery. Memorial Cleaning Stephanie called Mr. Waldbridge and she was quoted $750 for Scrabble Hill – including cleaning and fixing the monuments. Stephanie will be draft and send a letter to Mr. Walbridge to accept the quote, schedule a date, and to see if he can provide a quote for the Crossett Hill Cemetery for 2009. Associations All Commissioners attended the Vermont Cemetery Association meeting on Oct. 4, 2007 at Green Mount Cemetery in Montpelier. Stephanie said, “It was very informative”. The Secretary of State was Guest Speaker and the state archivist provided valuable guidance for commissions and preserving important documents related to cemeretaries. Phillips Access The access to the cemetery from newly-paved Route 100 is done. It is satisfactory at this point. Record Keeping Greg got a copy of the computerized record keeping program from Promtem Software. He spoke to the company and decided it is too costly for what we need as there are annual costs associated with the software. New Business “Digging Deep”, a publication of the Secretary of State’s Office has been issued. The Commission has been anxiously awaiting this document. Stephanie has a hard copy and Kim will pick up a copy for Greg and herself. Greg drafted and distributed the Annual Report and budget for 2008. The report was discussed and revisions were made to accurately reflect the work of the commission. The budget was evaluated and approved as drafted.
