MINUTES OF THE DUXBURY SELECTBOARD EMERGENCY MEETING
June 30, 2009

Members present:  JoAnn Berno, Kym Andrews, Dick Charland

Others present:  Ken Scott, David Quenneville

Chair of the Board, JoAnn Berno called the meeting to order at 4:45 p.m.  

A brief discussion about the receipt of bids for the Firewood in the pit occurred amongst all present.  Three bids were received.  Two bids were received as stipulated in the public request for bids, received in the Town Clerk’s office on or before 4:45pm on Thursday, June 25, 2009 in a sealed envelope.  The third bid was received via a telephone conversation between the bidder and David Quenneville.

Dick made a motion to accept the highest bidder amongst the two legitimate bidders, disqualifying the bid not appearing to the Town Clerk’s office on or before 4:45pm on Thursday, June 25, 2009.  JoAnn seconded, all were in favor.

JoAnn will contact the highest bidder, as well as the bid not accepted based upon its form of receipt.

Meeting was adjourned at 4:50 p.m.
