Non-Emergency #s
For general publication every department has to maintain a seven digit phone number for emergencies. It is used by alarm companies from out of state monitoring alarms in state, they call the seven digit number to get to the proper 911 center. Other wise they might be calling a 911 center in Williston and need one in Rutland.
Also if some one calls the seven digit number their location might not show up on the 911 centers display but if they call 911 direct it will, making dispatch more effective.

State Police

***These phone numbers are non-emergency phone numbers at headquarters.
Please do not call unless you have an emergency that cannot be met through the 911 system. Thank you.
